Question for Unopposed Candidates:

Please give voters a brief statement that includes a history of your accomplishments in office and your vision for the future including upcoming or ongoing issues, challenges, or projects.

We were able to assist with other local agencies in getting a SANE/SART program in Riley County which enables us to better assess sexual assault cases. All the Assistant County Attorneys who have worked for me have successfully tried a felony case to a jury.

We have hired prosecutors who are career prosecutors and believe in the mission of the office which is to make Riley County a better safer place to live, in addition I believe that we have prosecutors who will remain in the Riley County Attorneys Office providing greater stability, experience and eventually expertise.

Challenges that we are experiencing include the population growth. The increased criminal activity that is associated with binge drinking which appears to be on the increase.
